    Spring Training Tickets

I still like Tempe....I sit along the 1B side, up near the top...you get shade for most of the game.

Why didn't the Angels go after Harper/Machado.

Stopped reading at this point. Justin Upton lf 5 years/$106M (2018-22) 5 years/$106M (2018-22) signed extension with LA Angels 11/2/17, replacing final four seasons of previous contract 18:$16M, 19:$18M, 20:$21M, 21:$23M, 22:$28M full no-trade protection

    Spring Training Tickets

Lawn seats are so expensive, because many people purchase lawn seats and than stand around above the seats. At Tempe, its darn near impossible to walk from the 1B side and get to the LF stuff. TOO much standing room only "lawn seats". Not to mention...most of the games in ST are sold out....teams charge it, because we dumb ass fans pay it.

Angels bullpen is the ultimate Eppler gamble

I think the problem with the pen is being over stated....Why? Our starting pitchers in 162 games last year, threw 802.1 innings, less than 5 innings per start. Our bullpen in 162 games, threw 632 innings, or about 4 innings per game. For comparison: Astros SP - 955.1 IP Seattle SP - 891.1 Texas SP - 846 Oakland - 824 Boston - 871.1 Cleveland - 993.2 Atlanta - 899.2 Brewers - 847 Chicago Cubs - 888 To move the needle with regards to the bullpen, it must begin with the starters...We need Heaney, Skaggs, Barria, Harvey and Cahill to go more than 5 innings.

Angels the "Mystery Team" in on Machado?

Some numbers for you all Harper: 2018 War - 1.3 Career - 27.4 2018 OPS+ 133 Career - 139 Manny: 2018 War - 5.7 - Career - 33.8 2018 OPS+146 - Career - 121 With Adell in the wings, a big splash that makes sense is Manny.... I will get roasted for this, but I do not think Harper is a $300+ player....I think he is overrated. His 2015 and 2017 seasons were great....His 2016 and 2018 seasons...were very solid. His WAR last year for NL OFers was not in the top 30 players.

Angels the "Mystery Team" in on Machado?

I would be okay with Manny at 3rd..... Trout, Ohtani, Manny Upton, would be a very nice 2-5 line up.

    Alfredo Amezaga

In the same release, the Braves announced that former MLB IF/OF Alfredo Amezaga is no longer playing and will make his “coaching debut” with the organization in a to-be-determined capacity. Amezaga had spent much of 2013-17 in the Mexican League after a decade-long MLB career with four different teams. The 40-year-old slashed a respectable .247/.307/.333 over those ten seasons, starting at least one game at every position on the diamond, save for behind the plate. The Mexican-born Amezaga’s 2004 grand slam, hit in the first game of a decisive, final-weekend series against the Athletics, will live forever in Angel lore. He last appeared stateside for AAA-Albuquerque in 2013 after spending parts of the 2011 season with the Rockies and Marlins https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/

    Epplers Next Clean Peanut

Twins Designate Aaron Slegers For Assignment The Twins announced Thursday that they’ve designated right-hander Aaron Slegersfor assignment in order to open a spot on the roster for newly signed designated hitter Nelson Cruz. Slegers, a towering righty, stands at 6’10” and has pitched 29 innings for the Twins across the past two seasons but struggled to a 5.90 ERA in that time. Although Slegers hasn’t had much experience at the MLB level, he’s had quite a bit of success in Triple-A, where he’s pitched to a 3.54 ERA in 233 2/3 innings with 6.8 K/9, 1.8 BB/9 and average or better ground-ball tendencies. As a starting pitcher who has had some success in the upper minors and has a pair of minor league options remaining, Slegers could hold some appeal to clubs in need of some depth and options at the back of the rotation. If he clears waivers, he’ll presumably head the Twins’ top affiliate on an outright assignment. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/

    RIP The Captain

The Captain and Tennile both live(d) in Prescott, AZ.... Toni is an active supporter of music here in Prescott, she attends the annual Jazz Summit (several players where apart of her show), the Jazz summit also highlights some high schoolers. She was also supposed to be singing with the Yavapai College Master Chorale

Angels sign C Jonathan Lucroy to 1yr/$3.35M deal

The best part about this deal, as so many others....they are all one year deals. We will still have a hole at catcher next year...but this is not a long term deal that will haunt us. I'm not sold on Lucroy as many others are....hoping for the best.

  20. Pass on Harrison....we have too many players that fit this mold.

    The Kikuchi Thread

This is more accurate...JC Ramirez should be ready, might be ready possibly ready by mid-season. Cahill will not make the entire year, so that opens the door for Pena/Canning. We need to focus on a catcher and I am still not sold on a 3Bman...I'd still like to see Moustakas at 3B, with either Cozart or Fletcher at 2B and the other being the util guy....

Puig and Kemp to the Reds

The Reds projected line up looks pretty goof for 2019: Votto, Gennett, Suarez, Kemp, and Puig 3-7 hitters, all projected to be 20+ HR guys
  23. HaloNArizona

Puig and Kemp to the Reds

Kyle Farmer going to the Reds....a catcher/corner IF player He is mostly a corner IFer...but this will be the fifth guy on the Reds roster who can catch.
  24. HaloNArizona

Puig and Kemp to the Reds

At least for next year, this should fill some holes for the Reds... The OF on the 40 man roster for the Reds shows: Phil Ervin with a 106 career games and .736 OPS SChebler with 349 career games and a .781 OPS Winker with 136 career games and a .857 OPS Siri who has no MLB experience. Puig and Kemp will do well, be moved at the ASB and the Reds will pick up a few decent prospects.

Just saw and posted that....Can you imagine if the Halos acquired Bailey....we might explode before the news of acquiring Harper was announced.
