3 years? Ehhhhhh.

Want to know how much before I give a full opinion.

Wow!  3 years sounds like a lot, but it's expected.  He will definitely confer flexibility.  I'm guessing he's our starting 3B this year, then starting 2B the next two years thereafter.  He will be able to backup Simmons too when he needs days off.

I know this isn't the most exciting signing, but he does play a significant role for us in that he fills a hole (3B) AND provides insurance for the middle infield too.  Strong move, and another indication of our "defense first" priorities, as we opted to go for him over Moose.

Yeah, agreed.  I'm pretty "meh" about him overall unless he can come reasonably close to what he did last year offensively.

im good with this.  even if the bat regresses (hopefully not terribly) he's still a useful piece.

Just hope the aav isn't too crazy.  if is 3/40 that would be fine.

3/38....not bad at all

Wow, I expected he’d get more.

This is a great deal. Eppler strikes again.

Not sure I really like this move. A little over 12.5M for him for 3 years. And for ages 32-34. And he’s really only had one good year and that was in a contract year

Solid pick up my only 2 concerns are 1 2017 was his only really good season being a contract a year that he improves, 2 That he isn't a product of the great Hitters park.

At worst he's basically a 2 WAR player. Not sure if he's going to platoon at 3rd or play full time but I suppose it's an OK move.

Now that the offense is set I hope we move on a reliever and a starter.

You thought he was a 15+ mil per season player with a career .305 OBP?

I don’t know much about this guy. It doesn’t break the bank much but he did have a career year by a huge margin on a contract year. MLB strikes again.

I'm a litte concerned last year was an outlier, but I'm not mad at it. I trust Eppler. Our offense looks fucking nice...not to mention our defense. If we get another starting pitcher I may have to blow Eppler to completion.
