Every time I met him out he was always nice to me and my friends. He was the all time argument on here. Good career came out of nowhere. Good luck on the rest of your life Mikey.

27 career WAR, better than Garret Anderson.

In 800 fewer games and about 4000 fewer plate appearances. Amazing!

Appeared in three World Series, winning one with Boston in 2013. Of course, it had to be Boston..........

In his career, excluding three NL teams that he only played a total of 8, 10 and 12 games against, his highest career BA was against..............the Angels, naturally. .317.

He hit more HRs (than against the Angels) against only two teams, SEA (23)  and OAK (24). He hit 21 against the Angels. But, then, he had over 175 plate appearance more against each of  those two teams, by virtue of playing FOR the Angels for approx. 500 games.

He earned nearly 80 mil in his 12 seasons.

I'm shocked it ended up being that low. I would have guessed .400 at least.

Wowzers that article took shots at Angels (and rightly so)

"Persistent friction with skipper Mike Scioscia, though, who never quite seemed satisfied with Napoli’s work behind the plate, led the club to move Napoli in a bizarre 2011 swap with the Blue Jays, where the productive backstop was traded with outfielder Juan Rivera in exchange for the aging Vernon Wells, whose four years and $90MM in remaining salary placed him high on the list of least attractive assets in the game. "

This trade and the GMJ signing, it seemed this board was united they were terrible deals right when they happened
