OC Register: Angels series finale in Chicago postponed by snow and cold

1 post in this topic

CHICAGO — The final game of the Angels’ series against the Chicago Cubs was postponed early Sunday morning because of the forecast of steady snow and cold temperatures.

The announcement came around 8 a.m. local time, more than five hours before the scheduled start of the game.

No makeup date has been scheduled yet. The Angels have Cubs have four mutual off days remaining: April 29, June 3, Aug. 26 and Sept. 23. Either of the two latter dates are more likely because neither team will be on the West Coast on the previous day.

Trevor Cahill, who was scheduled to start for the Angels on Sunday, will now open the series against the Texas Rangers on Monday in Arlington. Matt Harvey will pitch on Tuesday, and the Angels have not announced a starter for Wednesday’s series finale.
